“I crave to discover the why behind people's attitudes and beliefs. the why behind each design, who are we designing for? How do we find insights into human behaviour which we can reflect upon to build new services and improve existing ones? ”
In 2021 I moved from Peru to Toronto to study Industrial Design at OCAD University. I am a product designer focusing on UX/UI and have a strong interest in deep user research. Even though I focus on these areas, my passion for product design started ever since I created my first product prototype of camping tools in my Design and Technology class during my secondary education.Throughout my years at OCAD, I have gained experience not just in prototyping and manufacturing tools, but also valuable research methodology and insight. My design approach is deeply rooted in a quest for understanding the underlying motivations and reasons driving human behavior, recognizing that true innovation emerges from a profound comprehension of the user interacting with existing services and/or products. My imagination starts running the minute I start delving into the intricacies of who the end users are and what drives them. By constantly questioning the motives behind design choices, I aim to create solutions that resonate with users' immediate needs in the most user-friendly way. By understanding what truly drives human behavior, we can craft experiences that not only meet users' needs but also evoke emotions and build trust.
