“My name is Rojna Avaei (aka Skye Cobalt) and my passion lies in creating art and animation that revolve around fantasy, epicness, and using art as a way to explore myself and how I like to view the world around me. I love bringing diverse characters and their unique worlds and stories into life, hoping to transport my audience to exciting new worlds. My most recent work "ProCATstination" is more than just a film about procrastination. Its a heartwarming, yet humorous journey of a girl named Rhea who, quite literally, interacts with a physical manifestation of her procrastination that wants nothing more than to make sure Rhea enjoys her days and indulges in fun things rather than working on a boring school project. ”
Rojna Avaei (aka Skye Cobalt) is a Persian digital artist and animator currently based in Toronto. Born and raised in Iran, Rojna immigrated to Canada in 2011 and completed her education in Toronto, and has lived here since. She discovered her passion for all things related to animation, art, and film with the goal to create diverse characters and bring their story to life through digital illustrations and animation. Through her years at OCAD University, Rojna discovered her particular taste in cartoony-anime style work, looking to continuously hone and master her craft. Rojna's art mainly revolves around the themes of fantasy, self-exploration, as well as world-building. Though she specializes in digital illustration and animation, she has also dabbled in traditional painting, 3D modelling, video editing, and sculpting.
