Victoria Monaco is an Italian-Canadian multidisciplary artist with a focus on animation, illustration, new media, performance, and poetry. Her work acts as a confession of her experiences with mental health troubles, childhood traumas, and womanhood. She explores these themes in her research based art practice with focal points on philosophical and psychological aspects of their nature. She examines herself through this lens in an attempt to detach from her experiences to freely express them and to experiment with which mediums and materials are most compatible with those expressions. She studied Integrated Media and Experimental Animation at OCAD University (BFA).
