Christina
da Graça
“Through ceramics, textiles, and architecture she pushes the boundaries of form and texture, creating work that sparks curiosity and invites tactile engagement.”

Christina is a ceramicist, textile artist, and aspiring architect whose practice explores materiality and innovative techniques. Through ceramics and textiles, she pushes the boundaries of form and texture, creating work that sparks curiosity and invites tactile engagement. With a growing architectural perspective, she seeks to integrate thoughtful material use into spatial and structural design. She began her design journey at OCADU, where Christina initially studied Advertising, gaining a foundational understanding of storytelling and graphic design, which helped her develop a strong sense of visual communication. However, seeking a more practical and tangible approach to design, she transitioned to Environmental Design. There, Christina gained a deep understanding of how spaces can provoke thought, serve as devices for experimentation, and improve lives. In 2021, she began exploring textiles, working with crochet, dyeing, knitting, and weaving, which allowed her to engage with fabric and texture. In 2022, she expanded her practice to ceramics, discovering the transformative potential of clay.
