Chris A Leithead is an interdisciplinary artist from Toronto. His practice includes durational sculpture, site specific installation, and material exploration. This most recent body of work has been informed by an extended exploration of rubber latex as a material, and changing enxperiences of time and space. Rubber latex is a natural material which changes over its lifespan.Chris's practice has incorporated home renovation refuse, raw residential building materials, and protein powder, and bio art.He is interested in examining structures of archiving and preservation, as well as the ways in which material and proximity signify class, hygiene, orientations, and health.
