“My name is Teodora Pencheva, and I am a digital 2D animator and artist. A lot of my pieces focus on absurdity and the unreal, as well as creating a potent atmosphere. My latest work is a two-minute, animated short film that begins when a shooting star lands in the yard of a young boy who, upon discovery, swallows it, and when the star begins to alter his body and surroundings beyond control, it ultimately consumes him. The ending implies that this is a repetitive cycle of events the star goes through. My purpose with this project was to experiment with different techniques and visuals while maintaining cohesion and reflecting on my journey as an artist.”
