“Incandescent Revelations: Systems of Control (2025) explores the question of what might unfold if machines and technology were to integrate into human life beyond the physical realm, including relationships, religion, and the human body. In a world where there has been an overpowering sense of alienation as a result of an increasingly technologically dependent society, authentic opinion, connection, and personality appear to be eroding. Blending literary and visual forms, this exhibition examines the convergence of biomorphism, existentialism, anthropocentrisim, faith, and transhumanism; inviting viewers to consider a post-human future where divinity is coded, and flesh meets hardware.Mediums in this exhibition include graphite, charcoal, conte, contemporary poetry, and image collaging. The exhibition displays three pieces: New Millenium Christ (2025), Daily Devotion (2025), and Filled with Circuitry (2025), all representing a fusion of humanity and technology. Through these drawings, digital collages, and literary works, Incandescent Revelations invites viewers to conceptualize a reality of what it means to be human. ”

Kali Mitres (b. 2002) is an interdisciplinary artist, writer, and curator who’s work focuses on intersecting transhumanism, sentimentality, memory, post-organic evolution, the increasing digital anxiety, and futuristic optimism. Mitres’s work ranges from gestural, conceptual drawings to paintings, contemporary writing, and digital photo collages. In her visual work, she is inspired by the aesthetic of being an urbanite, the increasing overtake of machinery, and how the fast-paced world contradicts the slow remembrance of nostalgia; fabricating a mechanical blur between the past and present. With her literary work, she uses art writing as conceptual art, merging her curatorial and artistic skills. Mitres has exhibited her work in Toronto, and has her writing published in multiple literary journals and magazines. She graduated from OCADU in 2025 majoring in Criticism and Curatorial studies.
