“Diving into the underbelly of internet and incel culture my work filters reality through the lens of rapidly evolving online environments. Growing up alongside the popularization of the internet I witnessed firsthand how these online spaces can both connect and corrode individuals.Exploring incel culture, fractured intimacy, and images trapped inside algorithms, I not only observe these spaces, but critique and dissect them. Through carefully distorting and diligently painting these images using oil paint, I provoke individuals to confront how the internet shapes how we love, hate, and see. I carve out these spaces for deeper questioning of uncomfortable truths behind the internet. ”
