“'Sapphic Stories' celebrates sapphic love from historic literary works by depicting couples partaking in activities considered 'unlawful' in their respective eras. This highlights how sapphics throughout history had to act defiantly to establish themselves despite their erasure in documentation.”
Hi, I'm Effie! I'm a Toronto based artist and OCAD U Illustration graduate with a strong interest in visual storytelling.Ever since I was young I’ve always been drawn to the picture books in the library. I love creating book illustrations, comics, and doodles of my cat. I frequently find myself using vibrant colour palettes and fun character designs in my artwork. I hope to be part of more sequential illustration projects in the near future!
