“If you take a risk, your odds improve”

Namitha Ann Thomas is an emerging 2D animator whose work often explores themes of societal satire, with a particular focus on consumerism. Based at OCAD University, she is passionate about collaborating with diverse creative talents to push the boundaries of experimental animation. Her practice spans storyboarding, character animation, and graphic design, with technical skills in Adobe Creative Suite, basic Java, and 3D animation. Namitha has created short projects using After Effects and Blender and recently contributed to the collaborative studio piece I See Stars in Your Eyes. In April 2025, she completed her solo thesis film Ode to Honey, a lyrical and visually rich animation that encapsulates her evolving artistic voice. Alongside her animation work, Namitha is expanding her academic focus into European Art History (1300–1600), aiming to deepen her visual language and critical perspective in the year ahead.
