Xinyi Tian is an emerging animator, character designer, and illustrator from China. She specializes in 2D animation, with a focus on morphing and character animation, and has also explored other mediums such as puppet stop-motion and cut-paper animation. Her goal is to collaborate with other artists on animation projects centered around themes of time, fantasy, and growth. She actively participates in personal projects, including Four Seasons and The Golden Moirai, which have earned recognition, such as being screened at OCAD's first-year EXAN showcase and receiving a finalist award at the Witches Feast Festival in Shanghai. Moving forward, she aims to create more narrative animations and expand her practice by integrating interactive technology in digital media, discovering new ways to present both narrative and experimental animations.
