“Life is experienced through the inside and outside world, physically and emotionally. By painting on layers of plexiglass, I depict isolation experienced from social anxiety and the pandemic. Through the use of dull and bright colours peaking through the layers, I portray the pain or peace felt with being alone.””
Samantha is a Toronto based painter. Her work depicts the perspective of an introverted individual re-emerging into a post pandemic world. She aims to depict both the pain and peace felt from being alone. She uses colour instinctually, contrasting between a dull and vivid palette. She paints the most important people and places in her life. She will be completing her bachelor in fine arts with a major in Drawing and Painting and a minor in Jewelry design.
