Town Square is a piece that consists of two panels, placed in a corner. It features over 60 fairies playing together in a playground setting. I have created original vegetation, clothing, and activities for a fictional world for these fairies to live in.

“The installation of this piece simulates the look of an open children’s book. It allows the viewer to step into the space of a book on a large scale. Placing the viewer in the corner allows them to enter the fairy world. This is a reference to how it felt for me as a child, finding refuge within children’s literature. This ties to the overall theme of escapism by creating a fantastical safe space for the viewers within the installation itself.”

“I paint surrealist landscapes with fantastical subject matter, portraying wondrous settings of 'make believe' that have excited me from a young age.”
