Aliens Did It

“Aliens did it” reimagines conspiracy theories, misinformation, and modern myth as being a result of alien interventions, to raise awareness on fake news and the danger and damages it brings.

“While misinformation has been circulating the media since its early days, recent years mark the era of “alternative fact” and “post truth”. People are now less concerned about what is right, what is true, but instead focus on facts that suit their agenda, that support their existing belief and faith. This can be extremely damaging, and the effect has already been seen in recent events relating health, safety, and human rights. My aim with this project is to recreate popular fake news, false beliefs, and urban myths as involving extraterrestrial lifeform to further highlight just how ridiculous they all sound and hopefully to promote critical thinking in this age of information bombardment. ”
