Charmaine’s Soap Bubbles (After Chardin)

Inspired by Jean Simeon Chardin's 1733 painting "Soap Bubbles", Charmaine is an imagined figure who blows bubbles as an act of releasing harmful historical narratives connected to her exterior form. She rejects the psychological violence of white, colonial and patriarchal structures by becoming one with the strange landscape of desire.
