“Token is a knitwear collection of one-of-a-kind pieces exploring personal childhood memories and their innate nostalgia. Inspired by kitsch aesthetics and the philosophical concept of aura, the collection is meant to play with the art of low brow. Seeped in irony and humour, token is attempting to make sense of moments that have been forgotten. Natural fibres, acidic colours, and playful forms are used to materialize these blurry and distorted memories, while the designs of the garments – their accentuated lengths and juxtaposing silhouettes – explore states of growing up and growing out of or into new phases of being. ”
