Mutually Beneficial Fungi-Plant Relationships

“As part of the "Futuristic Fungi" series, this illustration displays the natural and mutually beneficial relationship between mycelium, the root system of fungi, and the root system of plants which could be effectively exploited in the agriculture industry to lessen abiotic stress. This pressure is referring to negative changes in a plant’s environment; a growing issue considering Earth’s climate change is resulting in more frequent droughts, floods, higher winds, fluctuating soil salinity, and more. When officially presented, this design was produced on transparent film, and illuminated from behind using a lightbox to capture the expected glow of stained glass.
