Leah Chudoba is an illustrator based in Mississauga, Ontario. She is proud to be graduating OCAD University's illustration program with a minor in science this spring after spending four years learning the art of visual communication. She seeks to combine her love of biology and image-making to explore subjects that have modern and historical relevance.Leah has spent the last two years as Lead Artist, teaching adult paint classes for the Studio Paint Bar, teaching hundreds of paintings and encouraging creativity among all skill levels, alongside her illustration studies at OCAD University. During her time there, she has also led in the design of several large collaborative corporate projects with various companies such as Loblaws, Brukinsa, and most recently, the Canada Lands Company. As a maker of many things, she enjoys experimenting with a multitude of materials and a variety of subject matter in her own practice. From sculptural clay illustration, to painting, animation, hybrid digital illustration, and traditional drawing, Leah enjoys experimenting with different ways of composing visual narratives. During her time at OCAD, she has learned to hone her skillset to produce work she is both passionate about and which holds social and personal significance.
