Mom Watered the Plants (Again)

Mom Watered the Plants (Again) is an editorial publication that aims to visualize the invisible labour of my mom's care for our houseplants. Designed as a bilingual encyclopedia in English and Chinese, the publication weaves photos, leaf scans, research, and interview notes to document her peaceful rituals and knowledge.Within the publication, two mini booklets—a watering sequence and a Q&A section—offer more intimate insights into my mom's routines. This project was my first experience using OCAD U's 667 Studio for risograph printing, a digital screen printing technique that produces vibrant colours and textures from an office photocopier.
