My works are very personal. I want the viewers to feel the sadness, pain, and destruction through my work.

“My inspiration is the psychological violence and pain that I have endured. I started art when I was going through a really rough time as a woman. So I believe that expressing my state of mind or observing my mind is the way to cure myself. My works are very personal. I want the viewers to feel the sadness, pain, and destruction through my work. My materials are usually papers, nails, and plaster in order to create different textures. I felt great relief while I was ripping the paper or hammering the nails for my projects. As a result of ripping and crumpling papers or hammering nails, I felt I was looking at my shattered heart. Each fragment, each spike felt as though they were fragments of my life. Not only the pain and sadness of a woman that I want to express, but I want to express some sort of order and beauty in the construction from the destruction, from the damage and violation to restructuring. Something gets destroyed but when I put the pieces back together it becomes completely different. This time I used spikes because it has a coldness of metal and requires violence which gets reorganized. Taking the violence, rearranging it, and creating a new form so that it represents me anew.
