“The Fifth Wall: a narrative's recognition of its existence as media; acknowledging the audience as the fourth wall and then moving one step further.This illustration is an act. It's not just a gruesome image to conjure up your own memories of feeling trapped or lacking control - even if that's all that happens. This is a simple exercise in questioning how you tend to consume a narrative. You aren't always going to be the protagonist. You aren’t always going to be the audience either.”
