In this creation, I chose to combine all the prints (the water marble print, the wavy grid, and the “Fu” motif prints) I made so far and applied them to one outfit. I thought this would help make the collection look more cohesive. Moreover, in this outfit, I enlarged my motifs which made the print look distinct from the previous ones and present more variations of my design.

“Muted represents the language of my culture. Since I moved to Toronto, English became my daily spoken language and I made significant improvements within six years of practice. However, my native tongue is still my most comfortable way of communicating and expressing myself. I neglected my Cantonese made me feel less connected to my culture. Sometimes, I watch movies or listen to music from Hong Kong just to make me feel like “home” again. ”
