"'Evenly: The Crevice Around A Plug Begins To Froth' features a redesigned emblem for an existing plumbing company, first seen on the side of a white maintenance truck and now emblazoned on an absorbent floor mat. An homage to the spherical ambitions of Sherwan Williams, the design is an anticipatory congealment of actions: building pressure, uniformly coating, gushing foam, oozing slits, popping, bursting, loosening… Plumbing forms the fluid substrate of our homes and facilities, pumping under our feet, but also renders these constructions as possessing digestive tracks, an analogy often inverted in trade mantras describing humans as perfected assemblies of portable plumbing. Evenly is a coupling of suggestions in sucking up and spitting out irrespective of the assembly in question as it slides across a larger lubricated landscape of words and images."
