The main component of the process in this painting is balancing the accident and control in creating an atmospheric space that engages the eye and spirit of the viewer. In my opinion, this painting offers an antidote to the fast-paced culture of overconsumption in the digital age, which negatively impacts our sensibilities. Hence, a culture that glorifies, fetishizes, and capitalizes trauma has occupied the creative space. I aim for this painting to provoke a healing and transformative experience by inviting viewers to slow down and savour the playful silence it induces – a silence born from a state of not knowing.
