Beyond the Edge

This painting depicts a picturesque scene peering through the parted trees and bushes out at Lake Ontario and Bluffers Park below, from the top of the cliffs of the vast and towering Scarborough Bluffs, only several feet away from the sharp drop off the edge. This view is one that is very familiar, it gives a feeling of awe, liberation and a unique sense of being on top of the world, gazing into the horizon; which is nearly unachievable in the same way anywhere else within the city. It reminisces of all the past moments spent there gazing into the water or playing in the sandy shores below.
