fuse beads, FireLine thread, 3" x 20m (3" x 446" estimated when finished)

“I used fuse beads, a craft material typically used by children, to hand-bead this piece. It is a work in progress that when finished, will be over 37 metres long and comprise approximately 33,500 beads. Each letter takes 1 hour to complete. It is a story about my past that I told my twin boys when they were 5 years old, and their sister was 2. The subject is about abuse but framed in a way that was appropriate for their ages. I wanted to teach the boys that the way they treat their sister affects the way she expects to be treated by others. When complete, it will be installed above eye-level circling the room as in the alphabets we see in kindergarten classes. ”
