Steampunk Girl

In this self-directed assignment, I chose to do some experiments with screen printing. I'm familiar with creating uniform multi-layered prints, but I wanted to create a set of prints that were one of a kind. I'd never tried working with gradients in printing, so the project was heavily focused on mixing different colors and creating a variety of blends. I printed on several substrates: black cardstock, old prints of mine, plain paper, and t-shirts. I wanted to challenge myself to print several layers on a t-shirt since that was also something I'd never done before.
