A virtual experience that models my distraction-filled workspace when doing online school in the midst of the 2020 Pandemic.

“Surround Screen is an interactive virtual experience that models my perspective of doing online school in the midst of the 2020 pandemic. The viewer is confined to a tiny room with nothing much but bright screens, trying to focus on writing an essay while simultaneously dealing with distractions that seem to eat up time.Initially inspired by subjects such as shortened attention spans, technology dependency, and screen addiction, this work invites the viewer to procrastinate and waste time. The real "objective", which would be to write an essay, is placed no special emphasis, and other interactions such as skipping annoying YouTube ads and being on your phone diegetically encourages distractive behaviour.See more at: noggindecay.itch.io/surround-screen”
