Aether- mixed media project

This mixed media project is a combination of live video, 3d animation, and visual effects. A boy fighting an unknown force (Aether) causing destruction and havoc.

“I have always been passionate about trying out different media, mixing styles and experimenting. The reason why I wanted to study both animation and filmmaking was to have experience and skill in various mediums so that I can incorporate them into my work. I wanted to play with lines and color, and took 'Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse' as an inspiration. I wanted the animation to be simplistic but bold- blended with live video.Aether is a project I deeply adore, as I enjoyed the process and was really proud of what I created. It is a short film of a boy fighting with an unknown force causing destruction. I recorded myself on university campus and added 2d animations on it using Procreate, along with visual effects, motion tracking assets using After Effects. ”
