'Just Right' is a 2D animated short film, about a character obsessed with making things perfectly right, whether it be chipped paint on the wall or an unsolved Rubix cube. His obsession keeps increasing, till he ends up being a blob of nothingness.

“As an artist, I love portraying human experiences, the depths of the human mind. This project explores a symptom of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder- the need to keep everything in order, in symmetry. I have faced a similar condition as a child, having thoughts plague my mind, making sure everything is a specific way and avoiding something going wrong. My project highlights how these thoughts can turn into a weight on one's shoulders, and take them to a place of darkness and anxiety. 'Egg' by Martina Scarpelli is an animation which inspired me a lot. It effectively highlights the characters struggle with anorexia. The morphs, line movements and simple style are used as a metaphor for discomfort. Another project I was inspired by was 'Iizuna Fair' by Sumito Sakakibara- it includes a combination of different mediums, scattered colours which add personality to the project.
