Glorifying Woman

Glorifying Woman is a conceptual photography sequence created using scanner photography — a technique where the subject is captured directly on a flatbed scanner to produce raw, intimate, and slightly distorted imagery.

“Glorifying Woman is a conceptual photography sequence that explores the duality of idealized femininity — its beauty, and its burden. The project visually critiques the often oppressive standards women are expected to meet in order to be seen as "perfect" in society’s eyes. Through a series of staged, symbolic compositions, the work contrasts the polished aesthetic of stereotypical femininity with the emotional weight of conformity.”
