This creation was a direct reflection of my state of mind and emotions, which pushed me to express my tribulations and subsequent transformation, just like many other women out there. This art piece involves dipping pieces of tissue paper in a solution of medium gel, water, and titanium white.

“For my art piece, I decided to work on a symbolic recreation of women's transformation through life on paper. This piece attempts to reflect the sadness, pain, and wounds of women in a softer and more feminine manner. Most of my artwork that depicts women's troubles usually focuses on hard materials that contrast this work with my use of soft paper. This creation was a direct reflection of my state of mind and emotions, which pushed me to express my tribulations and subsequent transformation, just like many other women out there. This art piece involves dipping pieces of tissue paper in a solution of medium gel, water, and titanium white. The fragile pieces of tissue paper were soaked in the solution and then carefully drained of the excess solution. The resultant soft pieces are then laid out carefully on a wood panel and allowed to dry. The process involves carefully laying out the pieces of tissue on the canvas, taking care not to damage their form. The medium gel helps in hardening, creasing, and rumpling to achieve the desired result. The fragile and soft pieces of paper, which transform gradually into hardened dry materials, represent the sensitiveness of women's problems and how they eventually lead to a stronger state of mind. The creases and rumples of the final result expressed in three-dimensional formats result in interesting shadows when exposed to light, a testimony of past experiences' capacity to result in excellent outcomes. This art reflects my trials and tribulations and gives me the hope that the eventual result is worthy.​​”
