Whispers In The Smog

This is an animatic/ concept animated video for a short I made during my time as a 2D Animation Intern in Embreate Studios. This was made as a part of their "Future Now" project, in which they have created a world inspired by what becomes of Earth in the year 2084.

“Whispers in the Smog,' a 90-second animated tale set in 2084 Punjab. Ahmed, a resilient rickshaw driver, confronts stark contrasts and environmental decay. The narrative poignantly weaves income disparity, climate crisis, and marginalized communities. Ahmed's odyssey from the outskirts to opulence mirrors a world divided. Through smog-choked skies and secret encounters, the animation speaks of love, resilience, and urgent reflections on today's issues. A visual poem, it unveils the indomitable spirit amid environmental collapse, leaving a lasting impact in its short runtime.”
