This piece reflects on the power of simple, everyday items associated with femininity—objects like a first makeup palette, lipstick, or mascara. These items, while often seen as ordinary, carry deep personal and cultural significance. Regardless of how one identifies or the body they were born into, these moments of discovery and expression through makeup can be profoundly unifying. In this work, I embrace my own femininity as a source of strength and empowerment. Makeup, for me, is not about concealment—it is a form of self-expression that allows me to feel bold, beautiful, and unapologetically visible. Rather than something shallow, it becomes a celebration of identity, individuality, and confidence. Through this piece, I reclaim and elevate femininity as a powerful force.
