A Love Letter Sent and Received by the Same Hand (ALLARSH) uses size 11/0 glass seed beads sewn into fabric-stabilizer, backed with deer hide, and set within a shadow box.Over and under, stitch upon stitch, ALLARSH is composed of hundreds of beads and minutes. The focus of ALLARSH resides within the unique lacework of the palm - specifically, my own palm. As a fibre artist and among every other medium as well, my hands have acted as mediators or perhaps the sentinels of my ideas as they move from the ether and into our realm. The netting of our hands is just as distinct as our fingerprints - a chance encounter of patterning once in a lifetime. Through the labour-intensive process of beading, ALLARSH proclaims the love of creation.
