As one part of two immigration experiences, the glassware and tablecloth surround the process of retaining cultural traditions/elements within a new space from my mother's perspective. Although the items are parts of domestic patterns, each one contains a nostalgic value making up a portion of my mother's identity in a different space, as well as the identities of those closest to her.
