Crafted Connections

Through a collaborative process of six siblings, a large scale painting is created to reflect the familiar connections they each share despite being in a blended family. Bringing back a nostalgic past, images that come from the imagination of a child illuminates the canvas with a variety of color. A focus on familiar and accessible materials represent the connectedness they share, with the many ways to use these materials.

“This painting acts as a documentation of a moment of time that, as the older sister, can observe and appreciate. We worked together and although they might've seen this as a fun activity, I see it as a precious moment that otherwise won't happen again in the same way. We painted capturing a moment in time, tomorrow things change a little more. ”
