Shedding Skin

After a long day of being flawlessly human, the girls finally shed their look and let their true selves breathe. “Shedding Skin” depicts creatures wearing “perfect”-ly smooth skin suits to hide their natural skin that lies underneath.

“Prerequisites for Perfection critiques the unrealistic beauty ideals promoted by contemporary media. Through exaggeration and awkward distortions, the work mocks the idea that perfection is something we must actively strive for by following prescribed rules.”
