Being Home

The work acts as an extension of the following “Collecting Time”, where nostalgic artifacts contribute towards the formation of personal identity. The shelf referenced within the work protects my father's collection of stamps, in addition to letters, books, and photographs spanning several decades. As a physical object of protection, the shelf retains the aspects of Ukrainian heritage within a Canadian space, blending nostalgia with new aspects of growth, including ever-changing photographs and blooming plants.
