Im not a Woman Im a Girl

Im not a Woman Im a Girl features a young girl sitting at a birthday celebration. The candles read "grow up", and the ribbons that adorn the party tie up a large carousel horse.

“Im Not a Woman Im a Girl explores the complex bridge between girlhood and womanhood. Girls are pressured from such a young age to adhere to the gender roles of women. Never truly given the opportunity to be children, young girls are prematurely sexualized and forced to navigate the world as women. ”
