Tenderhead

Tenderhead is a non-linear single-channel stop-motion vignette about the connections between hair and the Black-Canadian community. Alongside the film will be an installation of a barbershop set up. The theme explored in this film is the intersectionality of the Black Canadian experience through the care and perception of their hair. Through stop-motion, pixilation and rotoscoping, the film follows a narration of a spoken word piece that questions and wonders about the hair care, styles, and insights of black hair.
