Brass disc, sweet potato packaging, repurpose house paint
33.5 inches x 33.5 inches
“Sunspots, Swirl" is a mixed-media artwork crafted from upcycled materials, including a brass disc, sweet potato packaging, and up-cycled house paint. The title suggests a dynamic, swirling motion, evoking a sense of movement and energy within the piece. Through its use of unconventional materials, the artwork invites viewers to reconsider notions of beauty and value in everyday objects.

“"Sunspots, Swirl" is a contemplation on beauty, value, and consumption in contemporary society, manifested through the reimagining of discarded materials into an artwork. Through the use of up-cycled brass disc, abandoned sweet potato packaging, and house paint, this mixed-media artwork disrupts traditional perceptions of aesthetics and sustainability. Prompting reflection on the interconnectedness between personal choices and larger societal patterns, it encourages contemplation on the interplay between individual decisions and broader societal trends. ”
