Finding home (2022) is a 3-minute, 2D-animated short film that depicts the struggles of a young immigrant child as she tries to find her place in a new and unfamiliar environment to address the feelings of alienation that immigrant children face in Canada. By illustrating the frightening journey of a lost, young protagonist with only a box of her dearest possessions, Finding home focuses on illustrating the challenges that immigrants face.The plot of Finding home follows Sana, a young immigrant who is pulled into a scary and monster-infested world through a cardboard moving box. Armed with only a box of her possessions, Sana attempts to navigate through the frightening, strange, and at times humorous, new environment in her search for a new home.
