Blurred Lines is a photography projectthat explores the overlooked beauty of everydaylife in cities across China, Japan, and SouthKorea from 2019 to 2025. Throughthis project, I seek to document the pulse ofthese places from an outsider’s perspective —capturing both the overt energy and the sub-tle moments that often go unnoticed or lost inthe frenzy of tourism. The project is centredon the belief that these moments— whether theyare fleeting landscape scenes, portraits, orcandid interactions—carry important narrativesthat speak to the shared human experience.The concept is driven by a curiosity and de-sire to explore places unknown while employingthe use of traditional photographic practic-es to document various atmosphere’s. By mak-ing photos in analog format today, the imag-es feel as though they carry more weight to acertain degree, and I believe shooting thisway honours traditions of the past while em-bracing the immediacy and accessibility of themodern world. Through this perspective, I hopeto evoke a sense of connection to things thatseem unfamiliar and inspire others to considerhow much around them goes ignored in the rushof daily life.
