The autumn breeze swept our summer love awayEndless nights were carried away by busy days As time went on the memory of you distorted For you were never real But a character of my fable. The truth is you were never really there Keep me close and don’t let me go Tell me another lie as you take me for another ride Make it seem real Only for a while Then take everything back, and say It’s over with a smile.
