A walking simulator game where you play as a lonely chair wandering around your house, looking for someone to sit on you.
“Inspired by my random love for chairs, I thought it would be interesting to design a game from the perspective of a chair that is trying to fulfill its purpose: to be sat on by someone. I designed a simple linear house layout that takes the chair from room to room, even encountering other chairs that also remain unoccupied. For this vertical slice of the game, the player is only able to explore the one floor of the house. The vertical slice ends when the chair pursues investigating downstairs, only to tumble down and unceremoniously end up upside-down at the bottom of the stairs. This work was made in collaboration with Temi Gina, Yilia Li, and Karen Quach. My roles were in game design, level design, and programming. See more at: 1lyalee.itch.io/life-of-a-chair”
