This piece is made in collaboration with my partner, Anthony Micallef. This is the second sculpture in my series "Evil and full of Love".
“When we make art, more than anything we hold onto ourselves, but I wanted to challenge this, leaving room for something unpredictable.Our sculpture is an intermingling of the masculine and the feminine – where androgynous figuration is paired with direct imagery of the phallus and the opening. We wanted the figures to overlap in positions of love and violence, an outburst; a cannibalization – the moment right before the merge.”
