Where Healing Begins

Dreams act as a threshold between conscious suppression and subconscious reckoning, forcing us to confront what lingers beneath the surface. The subjects in these images exist in a dreamlike state, restrained, exposed, and distorted, caught in moments that embody emotional and psychological struggles. Some figures appear trapped, unable to break free from the weight of their past, while others meet the viewer’s gaze with a quiet defiance, challenging them to acknowledge their own buried emotions. The play of light and shadow intensifies these contrasts, symbolizing the duality of avoidance and acknowledgment, fear and acceptance.Where Healing Begins is not solely about pain but about the potential for transformation. It speaks to the power of acknowledging what haunts us, suggesting that only through confrontation can healing truly begin. By immersing themselves in these images, viewers become part of this process, invited to reflect on their own inner landscapes and the emotions that surface when silence falls. The work challenges the viewer to ask: What have I buried? What emerges when I am most vulnerable? And what would it mean to finally face it?
