Happenings in the Land Map

Installation
Double sided laser colour print on white gloss text 100 lb paper12" x 18" tri-folded.

“As part of the installation, I am using a map. This map is a graphical representation ofthe installation as a tool to give the audience direction, orientation, and instructions onhow to interact with the installation. The map plays a vital role in investigating how or ifthe audience will follow the rules and the information given in the map and itsrelationship with the installation. Stanley Brouwn's "This Way Brouwn" inspired thisinstallation and map. Including a map allows me to explore howthe capitalist system shapes how context and information reach the audience, emphasizing that access often comes at a cost. By setting up two prices on the map,10 Canadian dollars and 5 Mexican pesos, I want the audience to reflect on the idea ofmonetary value that depends on nationality.”
