Glowmo - Smart Lamp

Glowmo is a smart desk lamp that helps users stay focused by using ambient light cues to guide them through study and break sessions, offering a calming, screen-free alternative to digital timers.The idea began from my own struggle as a university student, constantly battling distractions, screen fatigue, and burnout during long hours of studying. I noticed that many others faced the same challenge, which led me to see it as part of a broader issue. This realization sparked an opportunity to explore how design could better support focus and encourage healthier study habits.By replacing sound-based, digital countdowns with gentle lighting changes, Glowmo turns time management into a physical, intuitive experience. It enhances the workspace environment, reduces reliance on screens, and encourages a more mindful relationship with productivity, helping users manage attention, ease mental fatigue, and bring calm structure into their everyday routines.
